I've always hated the way this came out and had intended on reshooting it. I never did. I found it today digging through my hard drive and was glad I held onto it. The model and I were dating but now hate each other though I'm sure neither of us could remember why.

This is where I was when I was 23. This is my apartment in Astoria, Queens. My housemate and I stole chemicals from the art school we had both attended and processed film and printed in a storage room in our apartment. These are some of the images I had under my arm when I started my life in

The Magic And The Sword/The Memory Palace of Summer
This is the memory palace of my summer courtesy of the young man I spent a good part of it with. The layers of collage are deep and some collages open to more collage and others contain pockets with removable collage pieces. Some layers are not accessible, there are a few sigils and things written on undersides of the composed paper. It makes me hella sad, in the way thinking about June in November can be really sad.

MIX 24: 24th MIX New York Queer Experimental Film Festival
My Video Aquarius is having it's World Premiere On Thursday November 17th, 2011 at MIX 24. It's part of a program called Fantastic Magick which also features work by my heroes Daniel Mckernan and Guy Madden. It shows again on Saturday the 19th in a program called Don't Stop.
