This is a response to a series of drawings No Irreversible Sentences by Elijah Burgher
It is also an extension of a portrait I took of Jason, the model on the right, in 2008. In that portrait, Seekers Who Are Lovers, he is being stabbed in the gut. In this portrait, I'm Already There, he is passing on what he had received to someone as eager to receive it as he had been. This is about sharing ideas. (While I was planning the composition, I was blessed with a really warm memory of the John hughes film 16 candles and it was important to me that this happen on a dining room table-so like everything else, it's totally about love.)
